Fix download, installation and startup problems

Choose the symptom you see and try one check at a time. Start with the connection, the completed file and the message shown on your phone.

The download does not start

Check that another webpage opens, then return to the download page. If you opened it inside a messaging app, use its menu to open the page in your regular browser.

Look for a download prompt or an existing transfer before tapping again. Check available storage and any browser message about a blocked download.

The transfer stops or the file is missing

Open the browser’s Downloads list. A paused transfer may have a Resume option; a failed transfer may need to be started again from the download page.

Keep the connection active while the file downloads. If the notification disappeared, use the Downloads list or your phone’s Files app to locate the completed copy.

Android reports a parsing or installation error

Check that the file finished downloading. Make sure there is enough storage to unpack and install it, and read any compatibility message from Android.

For a source-permission prompt, follow the relevant step in our install guide. If Android reports a package conflict, move to update help rather than removing the current app.

The app opens to a blank or loading screen

Close and reopen the app once, then check the connection. Restarting the phone can help when several apps are also unresponsive. Check that the device’s date and time are correct.

If the same screen continues, note the device model, Android version and exact behaviour. Use the support channel available to you and keep account information private. Avoid clearing storage until you understand what local data may be removed.

The app opens but login fails

Continue with account access help. Keeping installation problems separate from sign-in problems makes it easier to describe the issue and choose the right next step.
